General Job Description

Support technicians provide support to Union Marketing staff and our clients within the field of IT and Web. Support can be provided in person, over the phone or online. They address issues ranging from network systems, individual desktop computers, phone systems, web access and others as needed. Support technicians also will oversee delivery of digital communications such as email newsletters and mass call operations for our clients.



  • Troubleshooting to detect and solve technical problems
  • Installing or updating required hardware and software
  • Recommending computer products or equipment to improve company
  • Providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
  • Supporting the roll-out of new applications
  • Setting up new user accounts and profiles and dealing with password
  • Setting up email broadcasts
  • Setting up call broadcast
  • Setting up website content (news updates and posts)
  • Testing new technologies requested by the IT team
  • Perform other related duties assigned



  • Must have minimum 2 years full-time position experience in web development
  • Must have great communication skills and confidence in the field
  • Must have strong attention to details
  • Must have strong ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
  • Advanced ability to communicate with clients and team members via written or oral means
  • Advanced knowledge of DNS and IP networking and routing principals
  • Advanced understanding of system management tools (Phone system, network management, domain management, call delivery system, email system, etc)
  • Advanced knowledge of computer hardware parts and its functions
  • Basic knowledge of modern HTML and CSS
  • Basic knowledge of common CMS systems – Word Press, Open Cart, Joomla, etc.)


Beneficial Skills

  • Experience with PHP
  • Experience working with cPanel
  • Experience working in Customer Support
  • Ability to acquire new knowledge/research/learn new technologies
